During Parcel+Post Expo 2026, held on 23–24 September in London, Rovenma CEO Halim Sertbaş and Co-Founder & CTO Şadi Çağatay Öztürk spoke with Parcel and Postal Technology International (PPTI) about the parcel locker solutions on display at the Rovenma stand. Drawing on more than a decade of experience producing parcel lockers for customers worldwide, they shared insights on how Rovenma’s engineering approach supports reliable PUDO and out-of-home delivery networks in demanding environments.
A central theme of the interview was in-house development. Halim Sertbaş and Şadi Çağatay Öztürk explained that Rovenma designs and produces the critical components of its lockers, including its own lock systems. This allows the company to maintain consistently high quality and to keep improving its products as customers’ operational needs evolve.
The conversation also highlighted Rovenma’s software capabilities. The entire software ecosystem behind the lockers is developed in-house by Rovenma, including the locker software, the AWS-based cloud platform, the management portal and the integration API that connects the lockers to operators’ systems. With hardware and software developed by the same team, Rovenma is able to offer operators a fully integrated solution.
Serviceability was another key topic. Thanks to Rovenma’s frontal maintenance design, the locks, boards and cables are all accessible from the front of the module, so technicians do not need to work behind the locker. This helps make field servicing faster, simpler and more efficient.
The discussion also covered the off-grid capabilities of the Rovlocker R7. Consuming very little power while offering the same user experience as grid-powered lockers, it removes the need to find a grid connection at every site and keeps the network running during power cuts. This is a key advantage in countries where access to electricity is limited. The composite roof was also highlighted: its strong yet lightweight design allows easy installation and is difficult for thieves to remove, helping to reduce the risk of vandalism.
